MICROSIVE

An AI agent that answers applicant calls and books interviews

Applicants ring to ask what a role involves, where the office is, or whether their interview can move. Recruiters answer the same questions between sourcing calls. The agent takes those calls and WhatsApp replies, books interview slots from the recruiter’s calendar, and passes the rest to your team.

Example workflow. Not client work.

What it answers when an applicant calls

The agent answers from what you approve, usually the job description and your interview instructions:

  • what the role involves, its location and shift
  • where the candidate is in your process, if your ATS can share it
  • the time, address and contact person for a booked interview
  • what to bring, and how to reach the office

Booking an interview

  1. The applicant reaches you. They call your number, or reply in a WhatsApp chat they started.
  2. The agent finds the application. By phone number, or by the role and the candidate’s name.
  3. Slots are offered. The agent reads two open times at a time from the recruiter’s calendar.
  4. Booked. The candidate gets the details in the open chat, or by a link they can open later.
  5. Recorded. The slot and the conversation land on the candidate’s record, in your ATS where it offers an API (integrations).

Screening inside a conversation the candidate started

When an applicant has called or messaged you, the agent can ask the questions you set before it books:

  • still looking: yes, no, or get in touch later
  • notice period
  • current city, and whether they will relocate
  • current and expected CTC, if you want it asked this early
  • shift or work-from-office preference

All candidates who answer go into the recruiter queue, and nobody is filtered out. Candidates with a question the agent could not answer come first; your must-haves sort the rest. The agent does not shortlist or reject anyone, and a recruiter decides.

Replies on WhatsApp

When a candidate messages you first, Meta’s rules leave a 24-hour window in which your side can reply freely (WhatsApp Cloud API). The agent can answer role questions and book a slot inside that window, and a recruiter can take over the same chat from a shared inbox (AI bots).

Outside that window, the agent can start the conversation with a template approved by Meta, naming the role and offering a link to pick a time.

Where the recruiter takes over

  • Salary talk. The agent notes the expectation. It does not negotiate.
  • A confidential client. If the candidate asks which company is hiring, the agent says the recruiter will share details and flags the question.
  • No slot fits. If none of the offered times work, the candidate goes to the recruiter to agree one directly.
  • A question outside the brief. It goes to the recruiter with the conversation attached.

Calling applicants

A role goes live on a job board and applications pile up faster than recruiters can dial. The agent rings those applicants, introduces your agency and the role, and asks the screening questions above. An unanswered call goes back on the recruiter’s list with the time of the attempt, and the agent tries again inside the hours you set. Applicants from an older campaign can be called again when a similar role opens.

DLT registration for outbound calls and messages is part of the build (follow-ups). Reminders before a booked interview are covered there too (follow-ups).

Where Microsive ATS fits

Our own recruitment software runs a later step. We built AI voice interviews into Microsive ATS: role-specific questions, recording, transcript, and scores for communication, relevance and clarity, with candidates joining by link (Microsive ATS). The agent on this page comes earlier, while the candidate is still asking questions.

Turning a client’s job requirement into an open role is automation work.

Sample applicant call

Interactive simulation · sample data

Sample Staffing Co. has one open role, Warehouse Supervisor (sample role). Arjun M. (fictional) is calling from 98XXX XXXXX. The sample recruiter calendar has two open times: Tuesday 11:00 and Wednesday 16:00.

FAQ

How is a build like this priced?

We scope it first and quote a fixed price for that scope. Changes are quoted before they are done.

Which language will the agent speak?

The one your callers use. Language is a project decision rather than a fixed list: tell us who the agent will talk to, and we test a model in that language before we commit to it in the scope. That includes languages spoken outside India.

How much of your recruiters’ day goes to applicant calls?

Someone from our team replies within one business day.
